Google Feud Turns Auto-Correct into Addictive Game

Family Feud, the famed American TV game show where two families guess the most popular responses to a survey, is one of the most popular game shows of all time. Here in the UK, we might be more familiar with Family Fortunes – same game, different country.

Now, there’s an online Google version where users can guess the answers to Google’s auto-correct feature. Ever typed in a query and been shocked or even confused at the auto-correct suggestions? This game highlights this perfectly.

Apparently, one of the most popular responses for ‘when you die you’ is ‘can become a tree’. One of the most popular for ‘Obama is from’ is ‘outer space’. One of the most popular for ‘my friends are all’ is ‘turning green’…

The results can be amusing, confusing and a little offensive… hence Google’s warning that “certain results may be offensive and/or incomprehensible”. Take the example below, where the second most popular search for ‘Nickleback is’ is ‘gay’:

Overall, however, it’s a fun and somewhat interesting peek into the human mind, even if some searches delve perhaps a little too deeply – take “where can I buy human”:
